September 11, 2011 Home Again!

Nickolas got to come home today! The doctor said everything looks great. He goes back Tuesday for chemotherapy. When Nickolas was upset today, Alyssa rubbed his head and kept saying, "It's okay." It was so sweet! Yesterday in the hospital Nickolas told me he wanted to see fireworks again, like the ones on the fourth of July. So he told Jason and Deidra today at the hospital and by the time we got home with him they had fireworks! So this evening we had a cookout and fireworks, just like he wanted. He loved them! Thanks to Jason and Deidra for a great Welcome Home From The Hospital Again Party!

The doctor came in and said there is no bacteria growing in his blood. This is great news! His white count is still too low to go home, so he will be in here until Monday most likely. He will have another round of Chemo on Monday morning and if his white count is high enough then he will come home. He has asked for more Taco Bell today. The doctor said as long as he is eating like he is, then let the boy eat! He said we couldn't stop him if we wanted to. I know I don't want to get between Nickolas and his burrito. We have been playing the motorcycle game on our iPad's. So he has had a really good couple of hours. Thank goodness.
