Another Sunday at Nana's!! Good times!

Danielle dropped Hannah off around 5 and had to run back home because she forgot something. So we watched her for a few min. She wanted in one of the rooms and when I made her come out she threw a little fit in the hallway. It was pretty funny.

Alyssa was sitting in the floor playing and Hannah just came over and sat in her lap!! I wasn't fast enough with my camera so I didn't catch it, but here they are playing.

Here is Nickolas playing with an airplane that Curt and Jean brought for him. He loved it!!!

I love matching outfits!!! Here is Nickolas and Alyssa posing for Aunt Tonya!!!
Bobby snapped a few pictures with his camera. His pictures always turn out so good!
We attempted yet again to get all of their picture together at one time. Nana bought the girls these cute cute dresses for the 4th of July so we just had to get their picture!! Hannah does not like to be told what to do. She was fine if she was walking up and down the stairs, but as soon as we tried to make her sit down beside Nickolas and Alyssa she would instantly cry. It was so funny. Not to Danielle, probably. But, to us it was funny.
We lost Hannah, so the last two standing were Nickolas and Alyssa.....THEN....
...we lost Nickolas. Alyssa made it all the way to the end!! She is usually the last one to survive a 3-kid photo shoot.
When we came in, Hannah was not a happy girl!! She stood by the door and cried to go back out. So, I gave in and took her back out for a few minutes. I am so weak!! Haha, I'm in trouble.
Jean brought over a few dresses and we tried them on Alyssa and they fit perfectly! They were so cute. Every time I took a picture of Alyssa, Nickolas wanted his picture, too. It's so funny.
Great Great Uncle Curt and Great Great Aunt Jean!!! Nickolas came to me in the kitchen before they got here and said, "Jean coming?" I told him that Jean and Curt were coming over and he got so excited!!! He loves Curt..I'm sure it has nothing to do with Curt pushing him in the swing for long periods of time. Jean said that Curt loves kids and when they were young before they had their own kids, the kids on the block would come to the door and ask if Curt would come out and play with them. True story!!

Good Listener or Brat Baby? You decide.

The other day we were all outside. Ruthie, Jean and Curt were leaving so we told Nickolas to stay in the garage until their car was gone. So he did...or did he? Here he is waiting on them to leave.

11 Months Old

Alyssa turned 11 months old last week! I can't believe we will start planning her first birthday soon. She is doing so much now!! She is walking all over the place! She hardly ever crawls anymore. She can copy you when you say, "Nana, Dada and Mama." Nana taught her to make the Indian sound with her hand and mouth. Now she does it by herself. Nana also taught her how to "give 5". You can say, "Give me 5, Alyssa!" and hold out your hand. She will hit your hand every time with her hand. She grunts at Nickolas and when he grunts back at her, she will grunt at him again. She can say, "Uh Oh!" And she will do so at the right moment, when she drops a toy, for instance. She pushes Nickolas' cars around on her hands and knees while making the car sound. It is so cute!! She has 6 teeth! She does not like baby food these days. She will eat a little over half a jar and be done. But, when she sees that you have something, she wants it!! She wants whatever you are eating no matter what. She weighs 24lbs now. She had a spell a few weeks ago where she had a fever of 104 point something. It just lasted a day and she was back to normal. No explanation really. Mom said Tiffany use to do the same thing. She is getting so big now!! She gets shy when a stranger talks to her and lays her head on your shoulder. It is super sweet. The most recent thing that we have discovered is that she is afraid of Nana's room. Seriously, I took her in there the other day so she could see herself in the mirror, and she layed her head down on my shoulder and didn't move. She really doesn't like sitting on her bed. It is so strange. But, maybe it isn't so strange..... Nickolas did throw one of Nana's pillow at her and knocked her down. Since then, she wants nothing to do with Nana's room! I guess you can't blame her. I can't wait until her first birthday next month!! Just wait until you see her birthday dress. It is so stinkin cute.

So true!!!

Nickel's New Train

Nickolas spent the night with me on Tuesday night. When he woke up the first thing he wanted to do was color. Then while he was eating breakfast, Nana put together his train that she got him. When he saw it he said, "Oh wow!!" It was so cute. He knew right away what to do and he literally played with nothing else the rest of the day. After about an hour and a half of playing with the train, I took him outside to play in the water. After lots of sunscreen, a swimmer, and bringing lots of toys outside..20 min later he said, "Go inside, Tonya. Play with train" So we packed it all up and went inside. I was giving him a bath (to wash all the sunscreen off) and he kept saying, "Be all done." I said, "Why?" He said, "Play with train all the time!" So after a quick bath, he was back to playing with his train.

After his bath I told him it was time to go take a nap. He did not like that idea. I told him he could take his train with him to bed and that did it! He said, "Ok!" He got every single train and put it in his pack n play (his bed). He ended up in my bed with a few of the trains.

After his nap it was lunch time. While I was making his sandwich he played with his train again. When I told him it was time to eat, he wanted to stay and play. So, I had to tell him he could bring his train with him. That was the key to getting him to the table.

After lunch it was back to playing with his train!! Seriously, he played with it alllll day loooong.

We didn't get off the hook that easy. He wanted us to play with him. I would play a little bit then sit on the couch. When he noticed I was not playing anymore he would grab my hand and say, "Get down and play, Tonya" and shake his head yes. It was too cute.

Every time somebody new came in (Tiffany, Bobby, Jason, Ruthie) he had to go show them his train. He would take their hand and lead them in the room where it was set up and when he saw it again he would say, "Wow! Look!" It was too cute. Tiffany had packed everything up and was getting ready to leave when Ruthie came in. Nickolas had to unpack his train to show her. He loves this thing!! Our plan was to keep the train at Nana's because it is for ages 3 and up and we didn't want Alyssa getting hurt on the pieces. Tiffany said we were crazy if we thought they were getting out of the house with out the train. She was right. There is no way he would have left without his train.

He played with it the rest of the night and when Tiffany told him it was time to go night night this is what he did....

He said, "No night night time mommy. Play train mommy. Not go to bed mommy." So Tiffany let him take some of his trains to bed and he wouldn't go to sleep unless the rest of his train was beside him. So Tiffany packed it all up in a bag and layed it beside his bed. He was ok with that.

Tiffany said this morning when he woke up he saw his train and said, "Oh wow! Look Mommy! Train!" Haha This is by far Nickolas' favorite toy. Tiffany said he has never liked a toy this much! Good purchase, Nana!!!
