No new news on Mr. Nickolas. Today he had a good day. He even let Tiffany out of the house for a few hours. We watched a lot of cartoons and played with the iPad. But his favorite part of the day was when we went outside to paint his bird house! They made a huge mess, but it was oh so worth it. Hopefully we will hear from his doctor tomorrow.

Nickolas had a long day at the hospital today. The doctor said his spinal fluid is still clear of cancer cells. Wednesday we will have the rest of the test results and the doctors will know how to proceed with the next phase of treatment. As of yesterday he no longer has to take three of his medicines! Because he is no longer on steroids, he is more prone to infections and illness. With flu season coming up we have to be extra careful with him. He has been playing this evening and has been in a good mood. He goes back next Monday for more tests.

Nickolas had a good couple of days. Last night and this morning he was complaining of his arms and legs hurting. With a little Tylenol he was feeling better. Tomorrow he goes for a bone marrow evaluation and spinal tap. They have to be there early so that means no food or drink after midnight for Mr. Nickolas.

Can he be any cuter???? Nickolas has had a great couple of days. He has been playing more and has been in a good mood. Tonight I got in the floor with him and we played with some of his toys. Then when his mommy told him it was bedtime we hid in the closet and he thought it was the greatest thing. He whispered and said, "We have to be quiet in here so maybe she can't find us." It is so fun playing with them!

Oh No, Alyssa!
I left Alyssa alone with stickers. She was only by herself for a few minutes! She came to where I was and I asked her what she did with all her stickers. She said she put them on the table. I thought she just layed them on the table, but No! She stuck them to the table. Luckily, they came right off. Whew, lesson learned!

Nickolas is doing great. Chemotherapy went well today. His blood results were ok. The doctor says everything looks good so far. He goes back on Monday for a bone marrow biopsy and spinal tap. Then he will start the next phase of his treatment. His hair is getting thin and Tiffany is starting to see it on his shirt. He will soon get a hair cut "like an Army man". This is still very emotional and overwhelming. Today Nickolas told me we can go to wal-mart and get a Mr. Potato Head, but I will have to sit in the car with him while his mommy goes in to get it. He knows he can't go places because of germs. He doesn't seem to mind. I wish I had his attitude.
