Watching the Rain and playing with McDonalds

Nickolas wanted to go look at the rain. He heard the thunder and wanted to go see it. After standing with the door open for a few minutes I convinced him to come inside and I would open the blinds for him. He wanted to bring his desk over so he could sit at the window and watch the rain. Alyssa copies everything he does, so she was soon sitting next to him. After watching the rain for a few minutes they started playing with their McDonald's toy. They are so cute playing together. Here is the conversation they had while they were playing..

Nickolas: "Alyssa what do you want?"
Alyssa: "Ummm...bite."
Nickolas: "No, you have to say hamburger."
Alyssa: "OK"
Nickolas: "Now,what do you want?"
Alyssa: "Ummm..bite."
Nickolas: "No, you have to say hamburger!"
Alyssa: "OK"
Nickolas: "What do you want?"
Alyssa: "Bite!"

Valentine's Day

I left the kids a few surprises on Valentine's Day. They loved the "i love you" stickers on the door. I gave them a Mickey Mouse card that plays the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Theme and they really liked it!! Nickolas wanted to open his cars right away and every time Alyssa pushed the button on her Disney wand she would laugh. So cute!

Elmo Cake and Playing at Nana's!

Since I made Nickolas a football cake I couldn't leave Alyssa out. I made her an Elmo cake. This kid loves Elmo! She loved the cake, but mostly loved putting her finger in it. Hannah came over to play and they had a great time together. Hannah is getting so big! She is so sweet and loves trying on clothes.

You have to see this video!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=75egYSDENo8

The other day I was video taping Nickolas jumping. Not sure why he wanted to jump, but he was having fun. Ms. Alyssa came in the room swinging a toy around. She went up to Nickolas and threw it at him. It interrupted his jumping and, to say the least, he was not happy. His face is priceless! Click on the link above and you should be able to see it.

Football Cake

The other day Tiffany and Nickolas were looking at a magazine and on the cover was a picture of a football cake. Nickolas told Tiffany that he wanted to eat it (and even showed her how he would eat it). She told him that maybe Aunt Tonya can make it for him. As soon as I heard he wanted a football cake, I knew what I would be doing on my day off. I made it as close to the picture as I could. He told Tiffany that he liked the grass, stars and football, of course. So I tried to include all of these things. Before his nap he was told he could eat it when he woke up. So after his nap I asked him what he wanted for lunch. Without hesitation he said, "Football Cake!" Luckily I finished it while he was napping. He was super excited to get it! He loved eating all the chocolate stars. After he was done, I put the cake back on the counter. He walked into the kitchen and said, "Is that my football cake in there?" I said, "Yes." He got excited all over again.
