The other day Tiffany and Nickolas were looking at a magazine and on the cover was a picture of a football cake. Nickolas told Tiffany that he wanted to eat it (and even showed her how he would eat it). She told him that maybe Aunt Tonya can make it for him. As soon as I heard he wanted a football cake, I knew what I would be doing on my day off. I made it as close to the picture as I could. He told Tiffany that he liked the grass, stars and football, of course. So I tried to include all of these things. Before his nap he was told he could eat it when he woke up. So after his nap I asked him what he wanted for lunch. Without hesitation he said, "Football Cake!" Luckily I finished it while he was napping. He was super excited to get it! He loved eating all the chocolate stars. After he was done, I put the cake back on the counter. He walked into the kitchen and said, "Is that my football cake in there?" I said, "Yes." He got excited all over again.

Ah, kids and cakes. Yours turned out great. I've made cakes every year for my grands (next month they'll be 4 and 8) and no matter how "bad" they look, the boys are so-o appreciative. This year? One wants Batman and balloons; the other wants Peter Pan and a hook. Good thing I've been taking cake decorating classes this year.
Keep up the good work. Like what you have to say and your photos.
